Terms & Conditions

​1. DRIVER'S RESPONSIBILITY
The driver will be held fully responsible for any and all damages to the vehicle during the rental period, which spans from the agreed-upon pick-up date to the agreed return date.

2. RENTAL PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT
The total cost of the rental is calculated based on the rental period and applicable charges. Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards, cash, or direct deposits to our business account. However, please note that we do not accept American Express or personal cheques.

A $200 security deposit is required to reserve a vehicle. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing and refund of the security deposit.​

  • The deposit will be refunded upon return of the vehicle, provided there is no damage, loss, or additional charges incurred.

  • If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than when rented, additional fuel charges will be deducted from the deposit.​​

3. DRIVER ELIGIBILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • The Renter must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
  • Only the person(s) listed as the driver(s) in this agreement are authorized to operate the vehicle.
  • The Renter is responsible for any damages or loss to the vehicle during the rental period.
  • The Renter is also responsible for ensuring the vehicle is used in accordance with all local laws and regulations.​​

4. INSURANCE AND DAMAGE WAIVER

  • All of our vehicles come equipped with basic Third-Party Insurance only. This insurance covers damages to any other vehicle involved in an accident but does not cover damages to your vehicle or any personal injury.​

5. FUEL POLICY
The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and the Renter agrees to return the vehicle with the same fuel level. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the Renter will be charged for refueling at the current market rate.

6. VEHICLE CONDITION AND USE
  • The Renter agrees to inspect the vehicle upon pickup and report any pre-existing damage to Bahami Rentals.
  • The Renter agrees not to sublet, assign, or allow any other person to drive the vehicle unless authorized in writing.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the vehicle. A cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged for any violations of this policy.
  • The Renter agrees not to use the vehicle for illegal activities, races, or off-road driving.
  • The Renter agrees to report any accidents or damage to the vehicle immediately to the Bahami Rentals and the local authorities, if required.
  • A $250 fee will be charged for any vehicle returned with scratches. 
  • A $100 fee will be charged for the loss of hub caps or car mats. If one of the four hub caps or mats is missing, the driver agrees to pay for a full set replacement.

7. RETURN OF VEHICLE
The vehicle must be returned by the agreed-upon return date and time. Late returns may be subject to additional charges.
If the vehicle is returned with damage or missing parts, the Renter will be responsible for repair or replacement costs, which may be deducted from the security deposit or billed separately. Vehicles returned excessively dirty (such as with beach sand, soiled seats, mats, or ceilings) requiring detailed cleaning will incur an additional cleaning fee. The amount will be charged to the renter's credit card or deducted from the deposit. Our agents will assess the level of cleanliness at their discretion.

8. CANCELLATION POLICY
  • Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the scheduled pick-up date will result in a full refund, minus any applicable administrative fees.
  • Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.
  • If the vehicle is returned early, no refund will be given for unused days.

9. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
  • The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold Bahami Rentals harmless from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of the use or operation of the vehicle during the rental period.
  • Bahami Rentals is not liable for any loss of personal belongings, injuries, or other damages not covered under the insurance policy.

10. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.​​

11. PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS:

Our agent will meet you at the terminal and escort you to your rental vehicle, which will be parked nearby. Once the security deposit is paid, your booking is confirmed and does not require further confirmation. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
